Cat & Dom 简介 - Dom's version

Would it be too much to say that fate brought us together? What started off as a random meet up between two persons from two different countries would later become a relationship that lasts a last time. Just call me corny, but maybe true love does exist. And if you believe it doesn't or if you are one of those jaded singles, I hope our story will help you think otherwise.

Rotterdam. Thursday night. Cat is waiting at Centraal station. Raised in the Netherlands under the care of her parents, she has both qualities one would find in asians and caucasian, at least this is to my opinion. Dom is getting off the train, wondering how this new friend would turn out to be. He's spent the last 6 months working in Amsterdam and has decided finally to start meeting new people.. especially female friends. Because the games industry is suffering a huge absence of the female species and being in company of a hundred game nerds may be fun, but it does nothing for the romancing hopefuls.

They meet. Certain awkwardness is expected. We exchange the usual formalities and head on to Hotel New York where we would learn more about each other. And then at the end of the night, Dom being the gentleman that he is would see Cat home. A very normal and casual meeting between two random people.

Fast forward 2 years, Dom has intentionally brought Cat to Changi Boardwalk. She thinks they are there for a walk in the beach. Yeah right. Dom has other evil plans. They both take a slow stroll down the boardwalk, Dom is secretly timing the sunset and estimating how long it would reach the secret location. Time passes and it is perfect. The sky starts to cascade into the sunset, emitting a sensual mix of oranges and blues. As the sun sets, Dom suddenly drops to his knees and pops the question. Yes. The will-you-marry-me question. Cat is shocked, I reach for the ring and pry the tifanny blue box open. The glare for the diamonds blind Cat (ok not really, but it blinded her sort of as I sense her heart fluttering like a butterfly). We hug, we kiss. We got married. Love alas, could be something more than just a fairy tale.Certain truth exists in it and I found that truth in the moments that we are with each other.

What's next? I don't know for sure. But I do know that whatever happens, as long as we're together, the feeling of now brings us enough joy to hope for tomorrow.

And by the way, it was Cat's idea to set up this blog and she insisted I write an entry so here I am pouring words out of my heart. I hope you are not regurgitating over my words.
